Where should the scope begin?
Ask which area was inspected, what source was identified and what remains uncertain. The provider should name tasks such as removal, drying, equipment use and later rebuilding separately when they are included. Appliance or opening repair can be another trade's work.
What might be counted twice?
HomeAdvisor supplies national restoration rates and material bands; Save The Day lists commercial regional removal and installation components. If a proposal already includes a material replacement, ask whether a second line is actually additional work. A calculator output cannot resolve that contract question.
Who verifies a professional?
California's CSLB lookup permits checking current contractor status. Ask a provider about insurance relevant to its work and the insurer about coverage; this publisher does not preapprove either.
Calls go to voicemail, not a live provider. Messages are recorded and transcribed after the greeting. You can email us instead.
